Roland Barthes Believed that what we call an author has an inaccurate term. What we call an author Barthes calls a scripter, meaning someone who regurgetates old narratoligy and makes it modern again. Roland Barthes also created the term author-god which assigns a meaning to a piece of text.
"the death of the author is the birth of the reader." The reader is the interpreter. The author is the creator of the meaning.
